ConsultationHow the veneer leaves are laid out defines the final look of the surface. We choose the matching method with you, based on the project and the species.
marks each leaf: a mirrored F means the leaf is flipped.
Consecutive leaves are laid with every other leaf turned over, so the edges meet in a mirror image that resembles an open book.
Consecutive leaves are joined without turning them over, giving a repeating pattern that varies subtly across the panel.
Leaves from different places are mixed and some turned over, but shades and grain are selected to fit the brief.
Leaves of different widths from different logs. Colour and grain flow stay consistent, with a deliberate planking effect.

The grain depends not only on how the leaves are matched, but also on how the veneer is sliced from the log.
Tangentas
Sliced parallel to the growth rings. Pronounced arches ("cathedrals") form in the middle of the leaf, with straighter lines towards the edges. The liveliest, most natural figure.
Pusiau tangentas
An in-between option: arches on one side of the leaf only, straight lines on the rest. Calmer than crown cut, but still lively.
Radialas
Sliced perpendicular to the growth rings. Straight parallel lines run across the whole leaf; in oak, shiny medullary ray flecks appear. A calm, uniform figure that is easy to match on large surfaces.
Board made from fine wood dust. A smooth surface for veneering and milling.
An economical substrate for carcasses and panels.
Cross-bonded layers of wood veneer. Strong and stable.
Every leaf with a unique grain. Thickness 0.6, 1, 1.5 and 2.5 mm.
Not artificial but real wood: poplar, ayous or lime veneer is dyed, glued into blocks and sliced into thin sheets. Free of defects, with consistent texture and colour.
High-pressure laminate, resistant to wear, impact and moisture.
A matt surface, warm to the touch and anti-fingerprint.
A natural surface made from linseed oil, wood flour, pine rosin and limestone.
